Note on root ר־כ־ב
- מַרְכִּיב (markív) is both a noun meaning “ingredient” or “component” – and is also the masculine singular form of the verb להַרְכִּיב (leharkiv) – “to assemble” or “to compose”. For example: הוא מַרְכִּיב מחשבים – He assembles computers
